Construction and Features

The GYDTZA optical cable is designed for outdoor and demanding environments. Its fibers are embedded in loose tubes made of high-modulus material, which are filled with a water-blocking compound to prevent moisture ingress. The cable core contains a metallic central strength member, and for certain fiber counts, an additional polyethylene (PE) layer may be applied over the metallic core for extra protection. The loose tubes and filler rods are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact circular core, with gaps filled with water-blocking material. A plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is applied longitudinally, followed by a flame-retardant outer sheath to complete the cable .
