Photovoltaic DTU Wireless Communication Module

The Hoymiles DTU-Pro and DTU-Pro-S are wireless data transfer units that collect PV microinverter data and transmit it to the S-Miles Cloud for module-level monitoring and remote operation.

The DTU (Data Transfer Unit) serves as a central communication hub for photovoltaic systems equipped with Hoymiles microinverters. It collects real-time data from each microinverter and sends it to the S-Miles Cloud monitoring platform, enabling users to monitor energy generation, detect faults, and perform remote operation and maintenance (O&M) from anywhere .

Communication Technology

• DTU-Pro uses a 2.4 GHz wireless solution to communicate with microinverters .
• DTU-Pro-S employs Sub-1G wireless technology, which provides stable communication over longer distances (up to 400 meters in open space) and reduces interference .
• Both models support multiple internet connection options: Ethernet, Wi-Fi, GPRS, or 4G, allowing flexible installation in both fixed-network and remote locations .
• Peripheral communication is supported via RS485 or Ethernet, enabling integration with additional devices .

• DTU-Pro is compatible with HM and MI series microinverters.
