Prepare the Main Cable Strip the insulation from the incoming main cable to expose the live (brown or red), neutral (blue or black), and earth (green/yellow) conductors. Ensure the exposed length is appropriate for terminal connection—neither too long nor too short . 4. Connect to the Main MCB

  • Identify the main MCB (Double Pole MCB) in the distribution box.
  • Connect the live wire from the main cable to the live terminal of the main MCB.
  • Connect the neutral wire to the neutral busbar or the input of the RCCB if present.
