  5. Testing: Conduct insulation resistance tests and circuit on/off checks to detect faults or short circuits .
  6. Component Verification: Confirm all internal components are correctly installed and rated for the intended load .

Maintenance and Compliance

Regular inspections are essential to ensure long-term reliability, including checking for physical damage, corrosion, dust accumulation, and wear on wires . All components should comply with national and international standards such as NEC, IEC, GB 7252, and relevant UL/CE certifications . Proper labeling and modular design are recommended for easier future upgrades and maintenance . By following these requirements, a main distribution box on a construction site can operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with electrical codes.
