Yesterday I had a great chat on Facebook with a fellow Wendy Luhabe inner circle from Midrand about branding.
She said to me:
“I will love for you to discuss more about branding from an income generation side because most people see branding as an expense not an investment”
She is right!
Most entrepreneur don’t even know what branding really is never mind invest in it.
Branding is your business identity. Let’s look at it this way:
“From childhood we all focus and put a lot of effort into our personal Identity.
The style of music we listen to, the clothes we wear, the type of people we spend time with, the list goes on and on. That’s what makes us who we are”
I will tell you this….
If you think of branding as an expense, you are going to fail.
“Expense Synonyms-Damage”
You will never be fulfilled by spending money on it and eventually your business will shrink yo and perish.
How do I know this ?
I have seen it happen over and over again.
Most people think their logo is branding and with that alone they can make millions by impressing people..LOL
They even think that a flashy website with all the call-to-actions is what is going to make people buy from them.
It doesn’t work that way.
None of these things are going to do it for you without looking at the master plan.
Think of it this way.
When you invest in yourself, you’re investing in your brand.
Whether it be hiring me for strategy or building out your entire brand’s identity, the amount of money you invest in yourself is directly proportionate to how people
will perceive you and how much you’re actually worth.
If you cheap out, you’ll be perceived as cheap…And people can make this assumption in a matter of seconds of coming in contact with your brand.
You can see and smell a “fiverr job” from a mile away lol
If you don’t pay in, you don’t get anything out.
Branding is a perfect example. Don’t put any thought, time, strategy, or effort into your brand and you will reap what you sow. The more you put in, the more you get
back.
Let me ask you a question…
How much do you think you’re worth?
Whatever that figure is, then you should take that figure and invest it in yourself today.
