Use standard Ethernet cables to connect each management module port to a top-of-rack (ToR) switch or management network switch.
Ensure that both ports on the switch are enabled and configured on the same network and VLAN to provide redundancy .
There is no strict requirement to prefer one port over the other; both can be used interchangeably .

3. Redundant Cabling for Fault Tolerance

Connect each management module to either the same switch or to two separate redundant switches. This ensures that if one link or switch fails, the other provides uninterrupted management access .
When connecting multiple chassis together, follow the same redundancy principles to maintain resilience and minimize network port usage .

4. Physical Installation Considerations

Verify that there is enough clearance for cables and that any filler panels or EMI gaskets are properly installed to maintain airflow and reduce interference .
Route cables in overhead or subfloor trays, keeping power cables and other potential noise sources at least 1 meter away from network cabling. If separation is not possible, use grounded metallic conduits to shield the cables .
