Optical fibers used in meteorological applications often follow ITU-T standards, such as G.652 for single-mode fibers, ensuring compatibility with high-speed data transmission and long-distance monitoring . Losses are minimized near 1550 nm, allowing kilometers of cable deployment with minimal signal attenuation .
