Step-by-Step Disassembly Process

Remove the ODF Flange Protective Sleeve
- If the sleeve is a clip-on type, use pigtail plugging tweezers to gently lift and remove it.
- If the sleeve is thread-fixed, use the FC pigtail elastic sleeve head to rotate and unscrew the protective sleeve carefully, avoiding excessive force that could damage the fiber or threads .
Clamp the Connector Sheath
- Use a pigtail plugging tweezers holder to securely hold the FC-type optical fiber pigtail connector sheath.
- Align the bulge of the pigtail connector with the groove of the ODF flange to ensure smooth removal without scraping or bending the fiber .
Detach the Fiber Pigtail
- Insert the sleeve part of the FC pigtail elastic sleeve head over the fiber tail and match it with the FC joint's external thread.
- Rotate the handle part to release the fiber pigtail joint, then gently pull the tail fiber out using the tweezers holder .

Precautions

Always handle fibers with care; optical fibers are fragile and can break or develop microbends if mishandled.
Avoid touching the fiber endface to prevent contamination or scratches.
Ensure laser sources are turned off before disassembly to prevent eye injury.
